    Ping on Join

Briefly ping new members in a channel when they join your server.

Ping on Join (POJ) mentions new members in one or more channels as soon as they join your server. baobun sends the ping through a webhook it creates in each channel.

<> means an argument is required, [] means it's optional

    List ping on join channels

Show every channel set up for join pings, and whether each one is enabled. Running /poj on its own does the same thing.

    Syntax
    /poj list

    Add a channel

Set a channel up to ping new members, creating the webhook baobun sends through.

    Syntax
/poj add [channel] [enable] [delay] [name] [avatar]
    ArgumentTypeRequiredDescription
channelchanneloptionalThe channel to add. If not provided, the current channel is used.
enablebooldefaults to trueWhether the join ping is active straight away.
delaytimeoptionalHow long to wait after someone joins before pinging them.
nametextdefaults to pojThe name for the webhook baobun creates.
avatarattachmentoptionalAn image to use as the webhook's avatar.

Counts toward your server's ping on join limit. See Premium.

    Enable or disable a channel

Toggle join pings for a channel without removing its setup.

    Syntax
    /poj enable [channel]
    ArgumentTypeRequiredDescription
channelchanneloptionalThe channel to toggle. If not provided, the current channel is used.

    Remove a channel

Stop a channel from receiving join pings and remove its setup.

    Syntax
    /poj remove [channel]
    ArgumentTypeRequiredDescription
channelchanneloptionalThe channel to remove. If not provided, the current channel is used.

    Test ping on join

Fire a join ping against yourself so you can check how it looks without waiting for a real join.

    Syntax
    /poj test

    Configure from the dashboard

You can manage the same settings from the baobun dashboard: select your server, choose Ping on Join, and set the channel, delay, and webhook name there.

The dashboard cannot display an existing custom webhook name because the API does not return it.
