Response types
Choose between a classic embed response and Discord's Components V2 layout.
When you create a response, you have to choose Embeds or Components V2. This choice sets the format you build with and how Discord displays the message.
Embeds (Classic)
An embed is a formatted card inside a regular Discord message. It can organize information into parts such as a title, description, color, fields, author, footer, thumbnail, and image. An Embeds response can also include regular message text and buttons or menus.
Choose Embeds for the familiar Discord message layout, especially when you want text alongside a rich information card.
Components V2
Components V2 is Discord's newer format for building a message from components. In Baobun, you can arrange text, containers, sections, media galleries, separators, buttons, and select menus into a custom layout.
Discord disables regular message content and traditional embeds on Components V2 messages, so the message is built from components instead.
Choose Components V2 when you want more control over the layout or want text and interactive controls arranged together.
